Dan & Renée Stokes 

Dan and Renée met April 2012 on a facebook lesbian website; they almost immediately noticed several similiarities.  

 

FIRST...... Dan was born and raised in Harford County and Renée currently resided in Harford County.  It was amazing to Dan that she would meet someone else from Harford County as it was a rarity. 

 

SECOND.... Renée was a Domestic Violence advocate and Dan was a HIV educator their passion for helping others drew them together as friends.

 

Over the next year and a half, Dan and Renée would grow their  friendship and confide in one another for advice, motivation and weekly check ins.  

 

Finally, it came out in a conversation... "When I told myself today I missed you, I knew right then that I was starting to have feelings greater than a friend".... followed by a Method Man and Mary rendition of "All I Need" and the rest is history.....

On July 27, 2014, Dan and Renée got married and over the next 10 years they have gone through ups and downs, but ultimately still say "I DO".
